Not to forget:
- Students must arrive in Florence on the arrival date indicated here (key dates).
- Orientation begins shortly after arrivals (see key dates) and includes a series of meetings, talks, and guided activities. This is mandatory unless students have written permission from the Program Director.
- Arriving before and departing after the key dates is not supported by the Program. Additionally, students must be sure not to exceed 90 days within a 180-day period within the Schengen Area. BOSP cannot provide support letters to apply for visas extending stays beyond Program dates.
More information:
Students may arrive at the Florence airport or at another airport within Italy. The Program does not provide transportation to and from any airport to the student residence.
Transportation from the Florence airport to the residence (see Housing and Meals) is straightforward and may be arranged using one of the following options:
- Taxis are available immediately outside the airport terminal. The typical fare to the residence ranges from approximately €28 to €35, depending on traffic and time of day. No tipping is usually required in Italy, although appreciated for extra assistance with heavy luggage.
- The city's Tramvia (light rail-link) departs directly from the airport and stops right in front of the TSH. This option is accessible, reliable, environmentally sustainable, and cost-effective.
Upon acceptance, students will have access to detailed information on Canvas.
